Raelyn speaks remarkable well for her age.  She doesn't turn two for another month and a half but she speaks in complete sentences and pronounces her words quite well.  Sometimes I take it for granted but today she was pretending to be a baby.  She was talking in simple sentences and mispronouncing words on purpose.  It made me laugh so hard hearing my baby talking like a baby on purpose.  It made me realize just how good she is at talking.  Then again today we were driving home right before nap time and she must have realized it was that time of day because she said, "Mom, say no nap!"  When I missunderstood her and said, "No, snack"  she said, "Mom, say no bed."  I just laughed.  When we got out of the car she thought of a new aproach to get out of naptime.  She said, "Mom, I'm going to lay down in your bed with you."  When I told her I didn't think that was such a good idea she told me that Caden's room (she share's a room with Caden)  is too messy.  She'd better lay down in my room and not in her crib.  I love the logic!

Raelyn

The other day I was calling Raelyn to come into the kitchen so I could help her wash her hands. The first time I called she didn't answer and I didn't see her coming. I called again in my "I mean it voice". Then I hear these little feet running and hear Raelyn calling out, "I coming! I coming! I coming!" When she made it to the kitchen she threw her hands into the air and yelled, "Ta Da!" She really is a cute and fun kid.

Lasik Update

Last night Raelyn had a nightmare and woke up screaming. I automatically started fumbling for my glasses. Then I woke up enough to realize that I didn't need them. Oh, it is nice to see! It is funny how hard old habbits are to break. I still feel like I forgot something as I climb into bed and realize it's that I don't need to take out my contacts. I still have a little bit of dry eyes but my vision is pretty darn good. One eye is almost 20/20. The other is slightly better than 20/20. So over all I'm healing pretty well. I still have 3 more months until my final eye apointment. Ahhhhh, you with good vision all your life just don't know how great it is to see! Larry has one eye that is really good but one that is a little off. We find out on the 12th if he will be going under the laser again but expect that he will need a little touch-up.

Raelyn's Dress-up

As many of you know Ella loves to play dress-up.  There were a few months there that Ella spent a lot more time in dress-up clothes than in regular clothes.  It has obviously rubbed off on Raelyn.  Most of the time Ella helps Raelyn get dressed up but this time Raelyn got in the dress-up clothes all by herself.  Can you tell?
