The other day Megan read about ants. Did you know that there are ants that harvest honey dew from Aphids. The treat them like cattle. They protect them, round them up, and milk them by rounding them up. There are also such thing as a honey pot ant. It stores honey in it's abdomen growing huge! Then when other ants get hungry they get food from it. Fascentating. Anyways, after reading all this the kids decided to play ant. They didn't sing the cute little ants go marching song and march around, no Ella was an aphid. They had soldier ants and all!
And today, we were playing charades and Caden decided to act out Lizard. He did so by walking around on all fours making a dulap with his hand. Funny kids! I guess what is funnier is that we got it and guessed lizard correctly!
P.S. A dulap is a flap of skin the male lizard shows to attract mates and rival other males.

Grandma and Grandpa Seiter come for a Visit

I just love when we get visitors! (hint, hint!) Mom and Dad Seiter came on a Thursday afternoon. Friday morning we drove down to the keys and fed large tarpon fish. One of which bit Megan! She didn't even notice until after I tried feeding one and reacted very calmly. She wore the bit marks with pride. We then went to John Pennakamp state park and looked around before heading out to go snorkling. Can't say Caden and Ella loved it but the rest of us sure did! Saturday we visited the Everglades. We went on a short hike and a conoe trip before heading back to the hotel for a swim. Sunday we drove home and got in just in time for Church. Monday we stuck close to home and went on a fishing trip. Larry threw in a line and the proceeded to get the kids poles ready. In the first three minutes it was out he caught a cat fish but it was just a teaser. We never caught anything else. So we had to stop by a fish market and bought tons of fish and shrimp. Mmmmm... I don't even like sea food much but this feast was delicious! Tuesday morning Mom and Dad had to head out. It was a fun weekend! The only problem was that it was too short! I'm having technical difficulties but as soon as I can I'll post pictures!
